6 Count La Bassatiere Leaves After Visit To Maryland Relative Mr. and Mre. J. Y. Bryant Entertain at Myrtle Point, on Patuxent. | LBEONARDTOWN, Md, Sept. 19.— | Count Louis la Bassatiere of Paris, who | has been in the United States for the | last 17 months, left Monday after pass- ing a few days as the guest of his cousin, Mr. J. Fenner Lee, and Mrs. Lee at their place, Lee's Crest, on the Washington boulevard. He was accompanied vo St. Marys by Mr. Lee's niece, Miss Cornelia Lee . of Baltimore, Count la Bassatiere has spent the Summer with relatives in Newport and Bar Harbor, Me, and last Winter he was at Palm Beach. His mother before her marriage was Miss Mary O'Donnell of Baltimore. The count will sail for France early in October. Mr. and Mrs. J. Y. Bryant of Myrtle Point on the Patuxent River are en- tertaining a house party this week, in- cluding Mrs. Herbert Vanderbilt of New York City and Mrs. I W. H. Campbell and her daughter, Miss Vir- Campbell, of Buffalo. Over last week end Dr. lm;' B‘lrs. All':n Carter of Baltimore were their guests. Prof. Emmett Corey of Washington was & recent visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dorsey in their cottage on the Patuxent. Dr. Willlam Scott, whose home is near Detroit, is the guest this week of Mr. George Wigginton and Mr. Rovert Wigginton in their hunting lodge on Belvedere Plantation on the lower Po- tomac. The Maj. William Thomas Chapter, D. A. R, of St. Marys County was en- tertained Saturday, September 12, at Juncheon by Mrs. Rex. Adams in her home at Andover in Valley Lee. She was assisted in recelving by Mrs. Grif Alexander and Mrs. James M. Bennett of Philadelphia and Mrs, J. Spence Howard, Miss M. A.
