ROCKVILLE, Md., September 16.— Six members of the Montgomery Coun- ty poice force are affected by assign- ments and transfers ordered yesterday by Chief of Police Alvie A. Moxley. The changes were effective as of today No reason was given for the transfers. Pvts. Webb Hersperger end Frank Soper, who have been stationed at headquarters at Rockville, have been assiened to duty at the Bethesda sub- station. These two men arc to replace Pvts. James E. Shoemaker and Windsor Poole, who have been transferred to other assignments. Shoemaker has been ordered to Takoma Park and will make the third county policeman at that point. The other officers at Takoma Park are Sergt. D. L. Snyder and Pvt. Joseph Nolte. Officer Poole has been assigned to relief duty and will alternatz at the Bethesda and Rockville stations. _Also assigned to relief duty is Pvt. E. R. Jones, who has been stationed in Ken- sington. Pvt. Jones will continue to serve at Kensington during the period he is not doing relief duty, it was stated. Pvt.
