2 SOCIETY. Miss Harriet B. Clarke Returns From Wellesley Miss Meridith Todd Is Guest of Dr. and Mrs. E. C. Stuart at Their Winchester, Va., Home. Miss Harriet B. Clarke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Clarke, has re- turned from Wellesley College, from which on June 15 she received the de- gree of bachelor of arts. During her senior year Miss Clarke was president of the AKX Society and at commence- ment she conducted its final vesper service. Mrs. Clarke attended the grad- uation cxercises and afterward, accom- panied by her daughter, enjoyed an ocean trip. Miss Clarke expects to spend a part of her Summer with Miss Jean Lengford at Lake George and with Miss Jane Taft at Chicago. Miss Meridith Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll Todd. is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. E. C. Stuart of Hawthorne street, Winchester. Va. Miss Todd's engagement to Mr. Ernest Chris- topher Stuart, jr., was recently an- nounced. Mrs. W. H. Moran will return from Atlantic City tomorrow after spending two weeks there as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Dow. Miss Foster reccived the medal of merit at the Von Unschuld University of Music at the annual recital given at the Willard in May for her excellent work in the piano, artists-teacher’s training course. Mr. and Mrs. I. S. Miller and their grandson, Melvin Pellman, are back from Los Angeles and have taken an apartment at Atlantic City for the re- mainder of the Summer.
