While the immensity and scope | ths building operations in the Capital have left little jmpression on its resi- than any other city in the vorld. In expressing this opinton, Dietrich | { W. Its straight lines and the ex-| cellent ma 1 of which it is construct- ed speak for it. I am also greatly im- pressed with the new Arlington Bridge. It is of solid masonry and yet it does ot give the impression of heaviness or bulkiness, | “Washington undoubtedly i the| cleanest city in the world.” | Mr. Dreyer has been in the business of making educational moving picture | films for the past 11 years and has traveled in all countries. He has made several journeys in North America, his| work on this continent, as he says, tak- | Week-End THE. E TODAY'S AMUSEMENTS. Mr. Dreyer, who is leaving Washing- ten for the West, hopes to get a num- | ber of pictures illustrative of university life. He says that many of the books thét are on sale in Germany give the idea that life among university students is far from what it should be. His own thought, based on observation, is that university life in this country is whole- | some. He is also impressed with the fine civic spirit shown in this country. Mr. Dreyer made pictures of Mount Vernon, the White House and a number of other places .in Washington. He | made a number of pictures of the 4-H Clubs encamped on the Department of Agriculture grounds and also took several views of the city from the top of | the Washington Monument. He says that in Germany the 4-H Clubs are regarded as the greatest organization | of its kind in the world. In making his Washington films, Mr. Dreyer was accompanied by Curtis Hodges, of the Greater National Capital | Committee. ITTLE GEM Ear Phone for the Deaf GIBSON’S 917 G St. N.W.
