Anderson, pastor of the Augustana Lutheran Church in tM 400 block of Fourth street, and pastor of a Swedish Lutheran Ch\u’ch ln Baltimore, died at his home in Bal- timore yesterday, according to word re- ceived here. Death was ascribed to apoplexy. Rev. Mr. Anderson had been pastor of the Augustana Church here since 1917. He delivered sermons in Swedish and English. F, and later s deputy chief of staff throughout the period of active operations. | " He also was awarded the decorations | of commander of the Legion of Honor, the Croix de Guerre, companion of the Order of the Bath and Belgian and Italian decorations, as well as a Silver Star citation for gallantrv in action at Santa Crus, Luzon, in 1899. Born at South Woodstock, N. Y., Sep- tember 17, 1872, he was graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1896 and assigned to the Cavalry. He has served several tours of duty in this city and has many friends here. Be- fore going to Omaha he was in com- mand of the 8th Infantry Brigade and later the 1st Cavalry Brigade in Texas.
