Dr. Albert Joseph Carrico, prominent Washington physician, died Saturday night in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Balti- more, Funeral services will be con- ducted tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at the residence, 3311 Sixteenth |street. Requiem mass will follow at 110:30 in Sacred Heart Church, Six- teenth street and Park road, with Right | Rev. Mgr. P. C. Gavan officiating. Burial | will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. Dr. Carrico was born October 18, 1871, at the old homestead of the Car- rico family in Charles County, Md. He was a son of Thomas A. and Anne Dent Carrico. His father, grandfather and three uncles were physicians. Graduated from St. Charles’ College, Ellicott City, Md., and the University of Maryland, Dr. Carrico was admitted {to practice in the District in January, 1897, and, after serving as resident physician in_ St. Joseph's Hospital, Providence, R. practiced here 33 years. He was on the stafl of George- town Hospital. In addition to being a fellow of the American Medical Association, Dr. Car- rico was an active member of the Med- ical Society of the District of Columbia, Washington Chapter, Knights of Co- lumbus, and the Congressional Country Club. Dr, Carrico also was an active sports- man and interested in civic and welfare matters. He was married in 1903 to Harrlett Thyson, a member of one of Washington’s old families.
