C., Chapter of the Izaak ‘Walton League of America will be held at the Raleigh Hotel next Wednesday at 6:30 pm. The speakers wlil be Senator Harry B. Hawes of Missouri, Representative William B. Bankhead of Alabama, Com- | missioner Henry O'Malley of the United States Bureau of Fisherles, Paul G. Reding, chief of the Biological Survey; Swepson Earle, conservation commis- sioner of Maryland; A. Willis Robert- son, chairman of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries of Virginia, and C. Seymour Bulloch, national rep- resentative of the parent organization &t Chicago and well known writer on outdoor America. Station WMAL will broadcast the first part of the program from 7 to 7:30 pm. The committee on entertain- ment announced that three speakers will tell those at the banquet and their invisible audience during the half hour on the air just what the Izaak Walton League is trying to accomplish through conservation measures in the country today. George O'Connor and Matt Horn will entertain. Mrs. A. G. Bentley will sing a group of songs, and Miss Fiorence Yokam will be heard in a group of songs, accompanied by Miss Gretchen Hood at the piano. The Dawson broth- ers, Harry and John, known as the “Close Harmonizers,” and a unit from the Fox Theater will also be presented. One of the features of the evening will be Mrs. Shelby Livingston in a spe- cially prepared number of “blues” songs. Following the dinner a moving picture show depicting fish and wild life in many parts of the country will be shown by “Ike” Hopkins of the local chapter. Some of the reels are the property of the Canadian National Railway and have never before been exhibited. The remainder of the evening will be de- voted to dancing.
