16 STRIERS' DEFENSE ALNOST COMPLETE Trial of Four for Textile Dis- turbance in Marion Nearing End. By the Assoclated Press. MARION, N. C,, November 26.—With testimbpy of Lawrence Hogan, Marion striker and the only defendant it plans to plaée upon the stand, already in the record, the defense expected to com- plete its evidence today in the trial of four ' membpers of the United Textile ‘Workers of America upon charges of rioting and resisting an officer. The charges resulted from textile strike dis- orders. Hogan denied any part in an attack by strikers upon sheriff’s officers on Alfred Hoffman, a defendant and an organizer for the union, was not pres- | ent at the time of the attack. On trial with Hogan and Hoffman are ‘Wes Fowler and Del Lewis, Marion strikers.
