News Trend. Loadings of revenue freight for the week ended November 9, while below same week of 1928, showed a much smaller decline than had the previous two weeks. Total loadings of 1,049,475 cars were only 4,878 cars, or less than one-half per cent, below the 1928 week. Grain products, ore and forest products showed. a decline of about 22,000 from a year ago, while remaining classifica- tions increased moderately. Grain $hip- ments this Fall have consistently fallen below the corresponding periods of 1928 as § result largely of the with- holding of grain from the market until such & time as better prices prevail. This, therefore, does not involve a loss of revenue to the railroads, but merely a postponement, The recent stock market readjust- ment. is still being reflected in cor- porate mews, several additional units finding it desirable tq change Noon. ... .. 1,559,000 able are the annt baif eatly declarations | 1Bartly extra. 3Plus | in stock k.
