The present hot spell will last for two | or three more days, the weather man predicted today. | The Weather Bureau expects thun- dershowers late this afternoon or to- night, which probably will cool the city for an hour or so. Yesterday a high | mark for June of 92 degrees was reach- | ed and the mercury is expected to go as high again today Tomorrow may be slightly cooler. but only by a few degrees. The hot spell will continue, the forecaster said, at least through Sunday and probably into | Monday, when a drop in the tempera- ture is expected. The highest official temperature of the year was- experienced April 8, with a mark of 94 degrees. On April 7, an | official high of 93 degrees was registered and on two previous occasions this year —April 6 and Maw\31—a temperature of 92 was reached, equaling the mark of yesterday. Three cases of heat prostration were reported yesterday, but no person had been treated at any hospitals today. Among the victims yesterday was S.
