THE DXBANK OFFIK HELD UNDER BOND Frank H. Warder Accused of Felony and Two Misdemean- ors in City Trust Crash. EVENLS By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, June 14—Frank H. ‘Warder, former State superintendent of banks, was under $12,000 bonds today to answer criminal charges in connec- tion with the failure of the City Trust Co. He was arrested yesterday on three charges, one a felony and two misde- | meanors, accusing him of accepting un- | lawful fees, holding a financial interest in the City Trust and failing to dis- charge his duties properly in examining the bank's accounts. The felony charge is punishable by {10 years in jail and a fine of $4,000, and ecach of the misdemeanor charges car- ries a_year jail sentence. Warder en- tered ball for a hearing June 24. | Warder's arrest was ordered by Jus- tice James C. Cropsy after he had read | eight depositions by witnesses who tes- tified at the investigation of the State banking department in relation to the faflure of the City Trust Co. CHAPLAIN IS SPEAKER.
