SOCIETY President and Mrs. Hoover Entertained Guests at Supper Last Evening and Left for New RESIDENT and Mrs. Hoover en- tertained at supper last eve- ning at the White House, when their guests were the Chief Justice and Mrs, ‘Taft, Mr. Justice and Mrs. Harlan Fiske Stone, Dr. and Mrs, Vernon Kellogg, Mr. and Mrs. David H. Mrs. Theodore Hoover, sister-in-law of the President, is a guest at the White House. Mrs. William Hoffman of Rhode Island, president of the Girl Scouts, was a guest at the Executive Mansion over the week end. The Vice President, Mr. Charles Curtis, and Mrs. Edward Everett Gann will be the ranking guests at the dinner Miss Frances Battelle will give this evening for Bishop John W. Hamilton, in celebration of his birthday anni- versary. Mrs, Gann is the guest in whose honor Mrs. Henry H. Glassie has is- sued invitations for luncheon Friday, May 3, in_her home on Bradley lane in Chevy Chase. ‘The Ambassador of Japan and Mme.
