He also announced that reduced rates on the basis of one fare for the round trip have been granted by all railroads on the identification certificate plan, going and returning the same route, ex- cept west of Chicago and St. Louis di- verse routes may be used, providing passengers enter and leave the same Midwestern gateway. Identification certificates will be distributed by Q. M. Gen. James J. Murphy. Headquarters of the Spanish War Veterans will be at the Brown Palace Hotel. Circulars have been sent to the camps and de- partments containing a list of 105 ho- tels in Denver with room prices, and any requests for further information along this line should be addressed to Harvey C. Lord, chairman of the local housing committee, room 231, Brown Palace, Denver, Colo. It is urged that departments secure headquarters as early as possible and that the numbers of the rooms and the hotel which will be the official headquarters of each de- partment be sent to national headquar- ters, Woodward Building, Washington, D. C, and to Chairman Rice W. Means, 4¢ G street northeast, Wash- ington, D. C., so that the headquarters of each department may be printed in the official program. More than 20,000 veterans and their families are expected to participate in the entertainment fea- tures provided by the Denver encamp- ment committee, of which Col. A. McD. Brooks, 1725 Albion street, Denver, is general chairman. Selling dates for tickets will be September 3 to 9, in- clusive, with final limit for return October 20.
