VOTELESSD. C. TALK ON WRC TONIGHT G. A. Lyon to Give Address on Disfranchised Citizens of Capital. The Citizens' Joint Committee on National Representation for the Dis- trict will open over WRC tonight a special inaugural week campaign of ed- ucation on the disfranchised state of the residents of the Nation's Capital. G. A. Lyon has been selected to make the first of the series of radio talks un- der the committee’s auspices. He will face WRC's microphone at 7 o'clock for ,& 10-minute discussion on “The Vote- less Plight of the Washingtonian.” WMAL will broadcast the second ra- | dio talk, to be made Saturday night by Theodore W. Noyes, chairman of the .committee. Jesse C. Suter will follow him Monday night at th> same station. Regular chain attractions dominate the remainder of WRC's schedule. These include the Song Shop, the Hoover Sen- tinels, the Seiberling Singers, Rapid Transit and the Haisey-Stuart Hour. The Sentinels will offer a varied pro- gram composed principally of popular airs, but featuring the acrobatic com- position, .“Kewpi& Doll” A symphonic sketch built on the popular success “Rapeeana,” which is made up of ex- cerpts of “Charmaine,” “Diane,” “Lit- tle Mother,” “Angela Mia” and “Mar- dan,” will be the picce de resistance of the Seiberling broadcast. The Halsey- Stuart period will be devoted to another fireside entertainment, with music and advice by the “Old Counsellor.” WMAL has scheduled seven Colum- bla Broadcasting System attractions to- fm in addition to a number of local rigin. The latter include a eoncert by me Army Band and the weekly Sclence Service broadeast. The Columbia list is headed by a con- densed version of Weber's romantic fairy opgra '“Oberon,” by the United ©Opera Co. Outstanding among the others are thc Sonora Hour, the Colum- bians and the weekly musical episode which will pay a tribute to Grieg. Songs covering the territory from the East to the West are contained in the program of the Columbians. Y Miss Margaret Burns, soprano, whose "Irish ballads have scored a decided hit ,With the WOL audience, will return to ‘this stations microphone this evening at 8:15 o'clock, for her third radio re- cital.
