14 CALL 1S ACCEPTED 10 TAKOMA PARK Rev. J. Manly Cobb, Native of Capital, to Be Rector at Trinity March 16. Rev. J. Manly Cobb of Blacksburg, Va., has been called by the vestry of “Trinity Church, Takoma Park, D. C., to serve as rector of Takoma Parish. The call has been accepted and Mr. Cobb will assume his new duties March 16. Rev. Mr. Cobb was born in Washing- ton, D. C., in 1898, the son of Judson D. ‘and Bertha Craig Cobb. He was graduated from Western High School and was salutatorian of his class. ‘The degree of master of arts was received from the University of Vir- ginia and he is a member of the Vir- ginia chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Fraternity. During the war he served overseas as private in the 74th Regi- ment, Railway Artillery. At the close of the war he returned to Washington and entered the Virginia Theological Seminary, from which he was gradu- ated in 1923. After service as assistant at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd he took up graduate student work at the General Theological Seminary in New York, with additional courses at the Union Theological Seminary, acting at the same time as assistant at the Church of the Incarnation, New York.
