POWELL STUDENTS - RECEIVE DIPLOMAS 43 Boys and Girls Are Given Certificates for Senior High Entry. Forty-three boys and girls who com- pleted their junior high school course at the Powell School were graduated in commencement exercises at 2 o'clock this afternoon, when they received di- plomas from Robert L. Haycock, assist- | ant superintendent of schools. The program was begun with the in- vocation by Rev. ives, pastor of the Frnn:‘ls Asbury Methodist Church, after which Willard Bixby, a graduate, welcomed the audience. Kenneth Man- na lkee delivered the valedictory. s Bertie Backus, pnncipal of the m-onl presented the graduating class to the audience and Mr. Haycock deliv- ered the address to them.
