While a five-plane formation with one blarik file, in tribute to their miss- ing comrades, circled overhead, five of | the eight victims of the crash of an Army transport plane at Royalton, Pa., last Friday were buried in Arlington National Cemetery today. The burials began at 10:30 o'clock from the vault in the cemetery, with that of Master Sergt. Joseph B. Mc~ Carty first. Next followed that of Pvt. Samuel P. Jones of Bellwickle, Tenn., who was a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during the World War. Le Hutta Is Last. ‘The burial of Staff Sergt. Henry Cronan, who also held a lieutenant’s commission during the war, took place next, followed by that of Lieut. Henry R. Angell, pilot of the ill-fated plane. The last burial was that of Staff Sergt. Rudolph J. Le Hutta. Chaplain Albert F. Vaughn and Chaplain Walter J. Donoghue officiated. Honorary pallbearers at all the services were Maj. Howard C. Born June 3, 1856, at Indianapolis, daughter of Willlam H. Amanda Palmer, Mrs. Dorsey came to Washington in 1859, when her husband, William F. Dorsey, accepted a position in the Government. Miss Mary Abercrombie Shufeldt, 89, died at her residence, at 1719 H street, Sunday after a long iilness. Miss Shufeldt was the daughter of Frederick A. M. and Martha Abercrom- bie Miller and granddaughter of the Rev. James Abercrombie, D. D., first rector of St. Peter’s, Philadelphia. From her childhood she had been reared by her uncle and aunt, Admiral and Mrs. Robert Shufeldt, and had traveled with them extensively. She assisted her uncle while he was instrumental in making a treaty with Korea, and a bill acknowledging her services was at one time drawn up to be presented to Cor- gress. During the 60 years she was a resi- dent of Washington she was active in church work; first as a member of St. Paul’s and later of St. Alban’s Cathe- dral until her health failed several years ago. She is survived by her two nieces, Mrs. Walter R. Tuckerman of this city, Mrs. F. Ashton de Peyster of New York, and a nephew, Charles T. Abercrombic Miller of New York. Edward J. Fitzgibbon, sr., one of the oldest builders in the city and a life- long resident, died at his home, 1631 Newton street, yesterday. Mr. Fitzgib- bon constructed many of the famous homes of Washington. He was one of the organizers of the local Bricklayers' Union, having been a member for 49 years, and has been a member of the Mount Pleasant Citizens’ Association. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret E. Fitzgibbon, and seven chil- dren, Edward J., jr.; John J., James F., Ida R. Fitzgibbon, Mrs. J. C. Knight, Mrs. J. P. Byrne and Mrs. Edward F. LIEUT.ROBERT B. WATKINS TO BE BURIED TOMORROW Interment in Arlington Will Be With Full Military Honors. Lieut. - Robert B. Watkins, retired, who died at his home, 1408 Thirty-first street, yesterday, will be buried with full military honors in Arlington Na- tional Cemetery tomorrow. Lieut. Wat- kins retired for disability in 1896 and was 79 years old. Lieut. Watkins was born in Chester- field County, Va., November 21, 1849, and was a student at West Point Mili- tary Academy from July, 1870, until June, 1873. In October, 1873, he en- listed in the Signal Corps and was a sergeant in that branch until April, 1883, when commissioned a second lieu- | tenant, Signal Corps. His wife died in 1887, 11 years after their marriage in 1876. In 1891 he was transferred to the Cavalry in the grade of first lieu- tenant, where he served until his, retire- ment., He is survived by his sisters—Mrs. E. C. Newman, Harrisonburg, Va.; Mrs. A. L. Fernald, 87, died at his home, 1514 Columbia road, yesterday following an attack of pneumonia and influenza. He had been ill for a month when a relapse Monday caused his death. Mr. Fernald was born in Exeter, Me., in 1841, and was admitted to the bar in that state when 28. He practiced law in Winn until 1908, and moved to Washington in 1910, He is survived by his daughter and two sons, Miss Frances M. Fernald, transiator in the Bureau of Education; Dr. C. J.
