A third man was captured. ‘The men killed were Carl Kitrell, 34, and Otto Price, 40, both of Indianapolis. The officers were wounded slightly in the hands. Police received advance information of the intended hold-up and hid in the store. They exchanged a number of shots at close range with the hold-up men.
