A., chief of the personnel division of the surgeon general's office, War Department, who died of pneumonia in Walter Reed Hospital yesterday, will be conducted in the Fort Myer Chapel Monday aft- ernoon at 2 o'clock. Chaplain Ed- mund P. Easterbrook will officiate. In- terment with full military honors will be in Arlington Cemetery. Within an hour and a half after Col. Miller died a son was born to his daughter, Mrs. Hugh J. Casey, in the same hospital. His widow, Mrs. Lois A. Miller, also is in Walter Reed Hos- pital being treated for pneumonia. John Hesse Corbitt, 46, senior ex- aminer of the Bureau of Valuation of the Interstate Commerce Commission, died at Emergency Hospital Wednesday. The body was sent to Nashville, Tenn., today for burial. Mr. Corbitt came to Washington in 1925 from Nashville, where he had been secretary to the Tennessee Railroad and Public Utilities Commission.
