Salvation Army Plans $2,000,"70 Building in New York. NEW YORK, November 2 (#).— Plans for a new $2,000,000 Salvation Army center in New York were an- nounced yesterday by Comdr. Evan- geline Booth, head of the organiza- tion, who returned on the Majestic from the American Legion conven- tion at Parls. The new quarters will be built to replace the present Army home in Fourteenth street, and will include a hotel for working women and cxtende ed facilities for Army work. Miss Booth said the building of a woman's hotel similar to those now maintained by the Salvation Army in Chicago and San Francisco, would fulfill her lifelong wish to provide comforiable quarters for working women. - D.
