v PR[IHIBITIUN ISSUE ALIVE, SAYS BORAH Idaho Senator Finds Rum Question Still Important in Politics. Senator Borah of Idaho, who has been mentioned as a presidential pos- sibility, stands forth today as a cham- pion of the drys as well as of the Western Progressives. The Idaho Senator, declaring that prohibition as a political issue is far from dead, has accepted an invitation to speak before the New York wom- en's committee for law enforcement November 12 in New York. Mr. Borah's acceptance of the in- vitation was with the understanding that the women's committee would demand definite action by the political parties with reference to prohibition. He has been assured that the com- mittee would make such demand. Outlines G. 0. P. Platform. Here is a definite and extraordinary situation. The Constitution is being deliberately defied. And there are those who say it is right and proper to defy it, and through organized public opinion to nullify it.
