Friends: We present a new Super Power Radio. a Five-Tube Super Neutrodyne 50 far ahead of present standards that the results of tairest competitive are well nigh fncredible Here in this new set is a sweetness of tone that often approaches and some- times surpasses the original, incredible as this may seem to the novice. A Ukelele, for instance, {s lacking in volume and is very weak in upper har monies. Under favorable conditions over radio. its volume may be increased to any desired extent. and. by skill ful tuning. its upper harmonics may be 80 emphasized that the amplified re- sultant {s better than the original in strument ever produced If you are to get the tull tonal values that your ear demands you must have volume, and that volume must be nnder complete control. Here in this new set is a volume that vou seldom dare to use. Bring up some clear station to a deafening roar, then a turn of a single control and it sinks to the gentlest whisper without any perceptible change in tone quality. You must have ower, not alone for the thrill of distance. but because the station you wish to listen to may be Denver or San Antonio. All nearar sta- tions may be plaving jazz or classica music or some other of your pet aver- sfons. Herc in this new set is such terrific power that we have seen CYB, Mexico ¥, make the horn vibrate on the table. KFI, Los Angeles, on a good night., comes roar. n with the rheo stat but tly ned on. In our apart- mer n KDKA comes { h good ker volume all day lonz. We have picked up CFCK, Toronto, Canada, on loud speaker at 4:30 In the efternoon Also WNAC Boston, and WTIC. Worcester in w loud spe At Chevy Chase we picked up KFI on loud speaker on an indoor loop and a few feet of wire strung on the ceiling One of our dealers revorts the same station too loud to turn on full with no other antenna than a telephone con nectfon. Many sets will bring in distant sta- tions but the sesults are horrible to Usten to. Run down the dials of this set and the amazing thing is that one statlon after another comes roaring in and you cannot tell by tone or voluma whether Jt {5 a local or a station 2,000 miles away. This Net will not do the impussible. But it does move the borders of the im- possible =0 far back that on a ®ood night such Ifmits seem not to exist. This set will not clear up a signal which is weaker than the surrounding nofse lavel. But, if the sizral is only slightly stronger than the static, it will drop out the static almost completely and leave the signal with scarce a trace of interference. Tke set will not get a signal which does not come through because of at- mospheric or other little understood re- fraction condftions. Neither will it pro- duce good antenna results under poor antenna conditions. Your antenna is your power intake and many conditions affect it. An indoor antenna at Chevy Chase may be better than a good an tenna on a downtown apartment. Neither can we assure vou that you can listen to any given station at any given time. Too many conditions that are en- tirely bbyond our control would make such assertion false. The sults given above are easily duplicatahle on good days or good nights. Ther cre. however, given as being rk able even with this set, and that you should expect to dupli any time. What you can expect with this set is that it will give you wonderful en- tertainment for six or eight hours a day. With a Burns Speaker, 1 volts on the plate and seven volts of C bat- tery, we think you will hear music from far and near such as you never expected to hear over the radfo. You will hear KOA Denver like a local if Eastern stations do not interfere, and you can expert to pick up Pacific coast stations almost any good night that care to sit up for them, providing. of course. that vou have a reasonably good antenna and do not suffer from too much purely local interference.
