The Board of Education probably will hold its annual joint conference with civic organization representatives in December soon after the District budget is transmitted to Congress and made public, it was indicated today at STAR, the Franklin School. The date for the meeting will be set by the board at its next meeting, December 2. Following_his usual custom,” Supt. of Schools Frank W. Ballou will ex- plain fn detail each item in the school budget for the next fiscal year and urgé the support of the civic bodies in securing the requisite appropriations. The superintendent also is expected to reiterate his warning that the ftve- year school building program act has only been authorized by Congress, and that concerted action of every asgo- ciation interested in the welfare of the public schools will be necessary to get the appropriations to carry it out. Stew- art, cashier of the National Capital Bank, died in Emergency Hospital vesterday, after an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Stewart was the widow of George S, Stewart and the daughter of the late Willlam Young of this city. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1925. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of her niece, Mrs. Richard Hynson, 3435 Thirty-fourth place, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Congressional Cemetery. Benides her niece and son, Mrs. Stewart leaves three sisters, Mrs. J. P, ‘Weller, Mrs. Amma Danlels and Mrs. J. McNally.
