BALTIMORE, November 5.—To save her son from the disgrace of going to juil, & widowed mother of three chil- Uren pleaded guilty and accepted sen- tence on a liquor charge when ar- rafgned before Judge Morris A. Soper in Federal Court vestreday. Court bailiffs led Margaret, 7, and orge, 11, out of the courtroom whils. Judge Soper sentenced their mother Mrs. Margie Acton, to serve 60 days in jail after she had pleaded guilty to the manufacture and possession of liquor. She was arrested, along with her oldest son, Joseph, who is 18. Arraign- ed several weeks ago, both Mrs. Acton and her son pleaded not guilty, but the charges against her son later were dropped after Mrs. Acton had prom- ised to change her plea to guilty.
