LONDON, May 30.—The FEarl of Lonsdale, noted sportsman and hunt- er, has directed a sharp attack against the practise of hunting wild animals at night from motor cars with the aid of searchlights, which custom, he de- clares, has arisen in America. His attack was launched in an address while presiding last night over a gathering of 70 noted big game hunt- ers, with the Duke of York as guest of honor. “These Americans sit up all night— in absolute safety to them- said Lord Lonsdale, “and hen ' they penetrate the darkness - | with their flash lights and turn them »|on their prey, the animals become be- - | wildered before they are shot. Settlement Protects Revaluation Fought by Se- curities Holders. By the Associated Press. BERLIN, May 30.—Reports from America that holders of German se- curities intend to issue a joint protest against the German government's re- valustion plan have not distucbed the cabinet. At the foreign office it was stated today the Dawes plan itself consti- tutes a safe guaranty against agita- tion of this nature. Germany's credit- ors have every reason not to disturb the equilibrium which Germany with infinite pains has established, it was stated. To attempt to force Germany to pay a higher percentage of the gov- ernment's obligations than provided for in the revaluation law would mean rendering it impossible for Germany to meet the payments called for under the Dawes plan, forelgn office offi- clals said. Besides this, It was argued, the transfer agent under the Dawes plan would be faced with new prob. lems added to the present intricate ones, if money beyond the modest Uimits established in the revaluation law was transferred to forelgn coun- || tries. .
