Pig fron continues quiet and about steady, although buyers are hesitating and foreign offers are quite liberal. Copper has eased off to about the previous low levels of the year, owing to a continued poor demand, easier mar- kets abroad, reseiling and rather free offerings from producers. Some business had been reported on a ecale down to the 14%-cent level, but exporters have been almost entirely out of the market during the past week, and buyers for domestic consumption have shown little Interest, although it s believed that they il have a good deal of copper to buy for the second quarter. In tin the decline to the 53-cent level for Straits encouraged a fair consump- tive demand, but subsequent gains in London found little response here.
