| ONLY 45 MINUTES $100,000,000 ‘ Offered by - Morgan Syndicate Is Bought Up Rapidly. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, November 24.—Sub- stantial oversubscription of the $100,- 000,000 French loan offered today through a nationwide syndicate head- ed by J. P. Morgan & Co., Was an- nounced when the books were closed 45 minutes after the opening. Admitted to trading on the New York Stock Exchange today, the new 7 per cent bonds immediately com- manded a premium of % to % of a point above the offering price of 94. The initial transaction in the issue was a sale of a $5,000 block at 94%. While no exact estimate of the oversubscription was obtainable the heavy flow of orders which poured into the Morgan offices indicated that allotments would have to be cut ma- terially though perhaps not so dras- tically as for the recent German loan, the American share of which was more than 5 times oversubscribed. The allotments will be announced within a day or two. C. V. Sheatsley completely discredited. The minister, since the second day after the body was foun has maintained constantly that h wife deliberately swung herself in the furnace to burn to death, a feat obviously impossible because of the construction ‘of the stove. All Stick to Storles. Evidence of murder has left un- altereq the conviction of the Rev. Sheatsley and his two sons, Clarence and Miiton, that sulclde was the cause of the death of the wife and mother. Wecks of questioning have brought no break in the story of the members of the Sheatsley family. They have accounted absolutely for their movements between 1:45 p.m., last Monday afternoon and 3:15 p.m., when Clarence returned and found his mother's body burnfhg in the fur- nace. But the authorities still are unable to understand why Clarence, and later Milton, failed to show concern over the fact that their mother was being consumed by a furnace fire. They are unable to understand why these boys, after this finding, should nonchalantly leave the house to play foot ball, leaving the body on the blage, wondering at the same time how the two boys could give indica- tion of so little sorrow over the loss of their mother. They are in addition at a loss to explain why the Rev. Sheatsley, after coming home about 4:30 o'clock and finding his wife burning, still did not attempt to put out the fire Noane Entered House.
