FRATERNAL MEMBERS ON OUTING AT BEACH Volunteers of America Will En- tertain 500 Poor Children Tomorrow. The local branch of the Brother- hood of American Yeomen {s holding its second annual excursion today at Chesapeake Beach with delegates to the convention of the National Fra- ternal Congress of America, in ses- sion here now, as its special guests of honor. More than 1,000 persons are on the outing. Athletic events for men, women and children are scheduled and a prize will be given for the largest crab caught during the day. Brief talks will be given by leaders of the local and national organizations. Every society in the District is represented on the excursion. B. F. Williams is chairman of the outing committee and Mrs. Grace Spangler is secretary. Arrangements have been completed for the annual Summer outing for the 500 poorest children in Washington to be given at the Beach tomorrow by the Volunteers of America, Inc. GENEVA, August 26.—The League of Nations was notified yesterday that President Cordoba of Ecuador had sent a message to Parliament stating that the time had arrived to treat of the question of Ecuador's entrance into the league. The opinion was expressed here that it favorable action Is taken im- mediately by the Ecuador legislature, some of the representatives of that country now in Lurope, or on the way here, may act during the coming session of the Assembly.
