J The Mexican embassy figured in- directly in a case in the Police Court yesterday before Judge McMahon, in which Raymond Diaz, a citizen of Mexico, was charged with carrying a deadly weapon. Luls Livera-Rosas, official translator and interpreter of the Mexican empassy, acted as in- terpreter for the defendant, who could not speak English. Diaz was arrested the nigat of De- cember 21, and found to have in his possession a razor and tool used by orseshoers to.punch holes in red- hot metal. Chief Justice McCoy yesterday set asids a verdict for $4,098 against the Jacobs Transfer Company, for the alleged fail- ure to deliver 500 cases of whisky to A. J.
