SENATOR PHIPPS AND WIFE DONORS 34200 for Private Room in Garfield HospltaJvBoosts % "$500,000 Campaign. LEADERS TO GET PRIZES Final Reports to Be Made at City Club Gathering Tomorrow Night. A 34,200 subscription from Senator and Mrs. Lawrence C. Phipps to es- tablish & large private rocom in the central bullding of Garfleld Hospital was anngunced last night and will be included in the final-report of the campaign tomorrow noon it the City Club, when the wofkers hope to push 1he fund over the $500,000 mark. The amount obtained up to last Thurs- day's rally was $315,000, leaving $185,000 to be raised by tomorrow noon. An interesting announcement is that Just half of the amount raised so far has been given in the form of me- morials, establishing rooms in U new hospital bullding. In many cases these rooms are designated as memo- yials to friends or relatives of the donors. Although the matter is op- tional with the donor in eack case, most_ subscribers who have estab- Jished rooms have wished to honor some ‘one by including his or her name on the bronze tablet to be placed in each room bearing the donor's name. Any inscription de- sired, it is explained, may be placed on these tablets. New Subscriptions.
