It is about 25 miles northeast of our leases. Wells in this field are THIRTY years old and still producing oil. The Mag- nolia Petroleum Company got its start in the Corsicana field. The Mexia Gusher field is south of our 1,000 acres of leases. Millions of dollars have been made in Mexia within the past few months. Gushers rated at 10,000 to 25,- 000 barrels per day have been brought j~ We are in the Oil Belt.. We are on the Purdon Structure. We have struck gas in our well. We are right now setting on a sand and preparing to set casing. We are likely to bring in our first well before you have time to get your application to us. Our shares can be bought today for only 75c, par value $1 per share. Get in before we bring in our first well. OUR STANDING OFFER We invite any investor to come and visit our properties—to meet the men behind our company personally—to investigate their business integrity. K. On Our Property Mr. Woodfin is a petroleum engineer with twenty years’ experi- ence in the Texas and Oklahoma oil fields. His services are contin- ually in demand by some of the largest, producers of oil. He is a man well known throughout these great oil fields, whose judgment and advice can be relied upon. He has been responsible for the opening up of a number of new producing oil fields, and his saccess in this respect is almost unparalleled. It was Mr. Woodfin who made the location of the discovery well which opened the Northwest Extension of the Breckenridge field in Stephens County, Texas. It was upon re advice that drilling was started which opened the Thrall field in xas. He also advised the drilling of the Hart well in Palo Pinto County, Texas, which opened up an immense new oil-bearing zone. Many other successful operations have been carried out upon his jiidgment and advice, which places him in the forepart as a successful geologist and petroleum engineer. The management of the Security Producing & Drilling Company does not rely entirely upon their own judgment, when they undertake the development of an oil property, but call in experts and secure their advice and judgment before undevtaking the expenditure of large amounts of money. By so doing, your interest as a stockholder is safeguarded to the fullest extent. Mr. Woodfin has made a very exhaustive examination of the Purdon structure where we are now drilling. He recommends it most highly, he believes that we will open up an entitely new oil pool on this structure. He has placed his stamp of approval upon our location. He thinks so favorably of it that he is taking a good substantial block of the stock himself. From his ex- perience, he believes we will get just as big gushers on this structure as they ever got in Mexia. He believes we have an opportunity here as great if not greater than Colone! Humphreys had when he went into Mexia. Conditions are quite similar and by every rule of geo! ogy, we are setting directly over an immense oil pool. Gas Wells Were at Mexia Before Gushers Were Discovered Before Colonel Humphreys started to drill his first well at Mexia there had been possibly eight or ten gas wells drilled in the Mexia field. “These gas wells were only about 1,500 feet deep. The men who drilled these gas wells were drilling right 2ver a pool of oil worth MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but they didn’t have the nerve to drill deep enough to get it. When Colonel Humphreys went to Mexia it was considered noth- ing but a gas field. But it looked different to him. He had discov- ered other oil fields. He said: ‘‘Mexia has the ear-marks of a big oil field.” He had his geologist go over the field. He made a favorable report. Colonel Humphreys had more nerve than the men who had quit drilling when gas was struck at 1,500 field. He drilled a deep well. At about 3,100 feet he brought in Mexia’s first big gusher. Hundreds of gushers have been drilled there since then. He has -since made MILLIONS OF DOLLARS’ PROFITS FOR HIS STOCK- HOLDERS. Nine Gas Wells Around Where W. i Are Now Drilling i Compare the conditions that existed at Mexia before the first gusher was brought in with the conditions that now exist where we are drilling the first well on our 1,000 acres of leases. There are NINE GAS WELLS near our leases. These gus wells were struck at depths ranging from 400 to 1,500 feet. One of them is only a few hundred feet northeast of where we are now drilling. It is right on one of the leases secured by our company. There is one gas well south of our drilling well ,two more northeast, one east and two south- east of it. There are SLX wells drilling, or preparing to drill, within a radius of 11% to 5 miles of our well. This shows what others think of our location. Some of our leases extend near to some of these other wells. Colonel Humphreys had gas wells to guide him. His geologist passed favorably on the prospects of getting oil. He drilled deeper than the gas wells. He brought in a gusher. He made MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR HIS STOCKHOLDERS. We have NINE gas wells near our leases. Read Geologist Wood- fin’s report reproduced in this advertisement. We are now drilling. We expect to discover a GUSHER below the depth at which these gas wells were found. We believe we will make MILLIONS OF DOLLARS’ PROFITS FOR OUR STOCKHOLDERS. Our 1000 Acres May Become * es Worth Millions wn Our 1,000 acres of leases should become worth MILLIONS of doliars should we bring in a duplicate of the Desenberg gushers, drilled in the Mexia field to the south of us. The Magnolia Petro- leum Company paid $1,100,000.00 for the Desenberg and the 48-acre lease on which it was drilled. Think what our 1,000 acres of leases may be worth . WOODFIN GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER Offices Examinations and 2 West 47th Street i New York Cliy Appraisements and Fort Worth, Texas Fort Worth, Texas February 20, 1922. Security Producing & Drilling Company, Fort Worth, Texas Gentlemen: After examining the territory North and West of the town of Purdon, in the Southwestern part of Navarro County, where your Company is now drilling a prospective oil well, I will say that I believe the prospects are favorable for the production of petro- leum oil, for the following reasons: FIRST—The well is located on the South end of a Terrace Structure whose axis runs nearly North and South for a distance of several miles. This structure terminates at or near the local- ity where Richland Creek crosses toward the East, and extends North in a broad and rather flat terrace fold some two and a half miles wide and is about four miles long. A structure of this character would have a prospective producing area along its axis of about one mile wide by two and a half miles long. SECOND—The history of the Corsicana oi? field has proven where a structure of this character has been found they have almost invariably produced oil from one or more sands in paying quantities. THIRD—tThe history of some wells that have previously been drilled in the Purdon locality shows that there are oil and gas bearing formations, or sands, in the underground structure, and that these sands occur at the following depths: The first from 1,000 to 1,100 feet; the secdnd from 1,850 to 2,000 feet, and the basement sands about 3,200 feet, all of which are exceptionally favorable because of the porosity of the sands and the non- porosity of the under and over laying formations. FOURTH—tThat if the proper management, equipment and skill are used in this development, the chances are most favor- able for the production of oil and gas in commercial quantities. Respectfully submitted, (Signed) A. H. WOODFIN, Geological Engineer. Fort Worth, Texas. P.S. The details of the topography, drainage and geology are covered in my report and will furnish a working knowledge of the underground formations and their relation to each other. A. H.W.
