Have a heart and give me a break,” pleaded a con- vict in the North Dakota peniten- tiary in a letter to the Minot taxi- driver, whom he and a fellow bandit robbed nearly two years ago. \ James Dennison, 26, of Chicago, who was arrested in Minot two nights after the robbery and confessed, de- clared that his companion in the holdup, Fred R. Sylva, alias Reymond Martin, 23, of San Leandro, Calif, has been at liberty for the past year and a half. “I’ve been here two years and that’s long enough,” wrote Dennison. “I want you to write the new governor, William Langer, to give me permis- sion to appear on the June board of paroles ... Ask Judge Lowe to give me a recommendation to get out sometime this year. He'll do it if you ask him.
