It is said that the people who haye invested this money in the Nevada Hills Extension are the same San Francisco parties | Rev. who recently purchased considerable interests in the big Goldfield merger. The Extension property, which side lines the Nevada Hills on the south and has the same formation, has for some time been involved in ltigation, but the adverse claims have been pur- chased outright, and development work, stocks in the Goldfield \which bas been in abeyance pending the settlement of this litigation, will be pushed. Situated in a district where great activity is manifest and where several mills are being erected (one of 100 stamps at Blair), the de- velopment of this property has shown most alluring prospecte. A number of|U The ledge M Changes in Mining Stock (CISCO CALL, SUNDAY,” FEBRUARY 10, 1907. i S - for the Past Six Days The past week has been devoid of striking feature in mining stocks. As a rule the Southern Nevadas and Com- stocks have both been heavy, with the general tendéncy toward a lower range of quotations. The volume of business has also decreased with the deeline in prices. The Eastern demand for the Tonopahs, Goldflelds and other South- ern Nevadas has fallen off considerably of late for some reason or other which nobody appears to definitely know, though every broker has his theory. The Eastern business is- erratie, any- how, and the experience of the cur- rent activity in the Southern Nevadas has been that on dull days, when the mérket was apatheétic, a sudden lot,of buxing orders would come in and send the market whirling again. It is the dearth of these Eastern ordérs which is the prime cause of the present quietude in these stocks, according to the views of some well-posted brokers. Others ascribe the quieter market to the inclement weather in Nevada, which is telling on the operation of the mines, but this s a transient con- dition, which will puss away with the coming of spring.
