More Financial Troubles Overtake Advertising Agent, Harry Rodgers, proprietor of a general once more in financial trouble. The other time that his name was linked with many difficulties was during the period that he was being sued for divorce by Sarah Ros: enbaun. Rogers, whose first husband was known as ‘“‘Ducksy” Rosenbaum, com- mitted suicide * and valued at $250,000. H. S. Rembaugh, one of the men em- which he alleges. is due him on an unpaid salary account. This is not .all of the money that Harry Rodgers owes. 'There is another outstanding account against him for the sum of $800 and this and other accounts which he cannot liquidate have caused the gay young man to come to the conclusion that he cannot do busi- ness in this city any longer; so he has de- cided to close up shop and migrate to New York, where he will make an at- tempt to get a new start. When Harry Rodgers annexed himself by marriage to the fortunes of Mrs. Ros- enbaum his friends predicted that he would settle his debts and make the “hair fly” in the advertising business. The when they came back Rodgers shot into short-lived prominence as a financier. He prepared to put in a brand new printing plant in his establishment and went so far as to order $10,000 worth of machin- ery. It was ordered in the East and in Que time arrived in this city. But in the mean time Rodgers and his wealthy wife had quarreled over money matters. I's. Rosenbaum, it is said, failed to gratlf; certain monetary , expectations whicl friends of Rodgers cherished at the time of his marriage to the wealthy widow. She was not a believer in free silver, she liked the jingle of ‘“blonde” money too well to allow herself to be parted with much it, and so she steered her matri- monial craft on the cruel rocks of di- vorce, an advocate to the last.of the prin. *“What’s mine is my own."” The machinery stayed in the warehouse his present troubles and !eave town. CHARGES TURNER WITH TREATING HER CRUELLY Wife of Man Arrested for Robbing Stone’s Shipyard Sues for Divorce. She charges him with cruelty, and desertion. They were married at Chicago in March, 13%. Suits for divorce were filed by Fred L. Miller against Emily J. Miller for deser- tion, Alice Cox against Bertran Cox for failure to provide, E. A. F. Carson against Sibyl §. Carson for desertion, Caroline Gross against Louis Gross for desertion, Maud B. Clifford against Edgar Clifford for cuelty, Dorothy Armstrong against H. R. Armstrong for desertion, and Nettle Roberts against Christopher C. Roberts for failure to provide. Divorces were granted to Annie Breeser from Gustav Breeser for cruelty, Clara A. Smithurst from Albert F. Smithurst for neglect and Minnie E. F. Paulsen from Henry H.
