Another: Lie flat on your back, raise the feet as high as you can, lower them and repeat. Do not move the arms. Keep up the above exercises and the diet for several weeks. By that time you should be able to try the more severe ex- ercises which follow, In taking them, re- member that they must be kept up regu- fdarly to prove of any noticeable benefit. First lie flat on your back on the floor and rise to a sitting position without help- ing yourself with your hands. This will be very hard at first, but with practice you can soon rise with ease. You should do this at least ten or twenty times night ind morning. Men can do this exercise e hundred times. Some time you will {earn to rise with an extra weight on your chest The next exercise is performed in this way. Stand straight, feet close together, weight on balls of feet, then twist body around to the right as far back as pos- sible, then to the left. Do not move the feet. Twist ten times to each side. Next, bend bedy forward and touch the floor with, tips of fingers, Do not bend knees. Do this ten times. The fourth exefeise is to stand with feet together, body forward as much as pos- sible. Let body fall over to the right side, then to the left, five times to each side. Do the same exercise with right arm raised over head when falling to the right,. left arm when falling to the left, Let body fall forward and throw arm’ back. Do this ten or twenty times. Swing right arm back over right hip as far as possible, then left arm over left" hip. Keep the trunk perfectly quiet alw wiays If you are faithful to these exercises« yvou will find them enough, Don't forget that a flesh-reducing diet must be kept up. along with the work., Do not drink beer or any kind of stimulants.
