THE PROCESSION, AND THE errr Speeches of President Fillmore Lord Elgin, Seeretarles Conred and Stuart, Bier, Bien, See Bosrox, Soptember 19, 1851, ‘The last of the “Three Days” is drawing to # clos, and ins few brief hours the “Grand Railway Jabiles” Will be matier of history. Never did a finer morning dawn thio that which wohered in the 19th of September, 1851, in Boston. The eum shone brilliantly, the air was tranquil, and the temperature all that oculd be desired. In fact. as 1 beard « gentleman from Consecticut sy. if the weather bad been made to order it could not be better for the purpoee of the procession. At an carly hour in the day it was rumored tha! Mr. ‘Fillmore was indispoved, and would not be able to take part in the procession. The report was not credited, and consequently a great many people went to the Revere Mouse to ascertain for themeeives. The result was that the report was true. Mr. Filimore’s absence created great disappointment; but there was no help for it. As early as six o'clock a great stir was perceptible ‘throughout the city, ospecially in State and other streets sarough which the procession would pase.
