Brockbank, 69, assistant paestor of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, since 1934, died yes- terday in Providence Hospital. Father Brockbank was stricken Holy Thursday while preaching in St. Dom- fnic’s and had been in the hospital since. A member of the Order of Preachers, he had been a preacher general of the Dominican Order since 1914 and church associates rated him “an outstanding preacher. In addition to preaching and lec- turing on religious subjects in every State of the Union, he was engaged in missionary work for many years. Born in Clearfield, Pa., Father Brockbank taught school and later was in the wholesale grocery business in Pennsylvania. He entered the Do~ minican Order in 1889, completing his theological studies at St. Joseph's Priory, Somerset, Ohio, where he was ordained March 7, 1895. Father Brockbank first went to St. Dominic's in 1896, remaining a year. For the next 36 years he was engaged in missionary work, at the same time serving as pastor of a number of churches. His pastorates included St. Dominic’s, Denver, Colo.: St. Mary's, Johnson City, Tenn.; Holy Trinity, Somerset, Ohio; St. Mary’s, New Haven, Conn, and St. Antoninus, Newark, N. J. In 1932 he was made chaplain at St. Catherine’s, the Mother House of the Sisters of St. Dominic. Tonight and tomorrow night mem- bers of the Holy Name Society will keep watch in the Holy Name Chapel of St. Dominic’s, where the body will lie in state. At 8 p.m. tomorrow the Office of the Dead will be recited by priests of the parish. Solemn requiem mass will be sung at 10:30 am. Wednesday in St. Dominic’s and burial will be in Mount livet Cemetery. The only near survivor of Father Brockbank known to friends here is a brother, Dr. John I. Brockbank. Detective Sergts. Frank Brass and J. K. Baker were sent to Winchester with warants for the prisoners. They are Willie Fine, Harry Kroppe, alias Harry Poleman; Joe Bozel, alias Gold- man, and Sid Harmon, alias George Harris. Fine is wanted here on a narcotic charge and the other three are accused in the warrants of rob- bery. Mrs. Sally Fine, 30, listed as the wife of one of the prisoners, was ar- rested last week on & narcotic charge after police said they found a small quantity of heroin in her room. She was released under $500 bond. MRS. EMMA L, LEECH EXPIRES HERE AT 78 Widow of Confederate Veteran Had Lived in Washington 26 Years. Mrs. Emma L. Leech, 78, dled yes- terday after a long illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Wood, 3121 Warder street. A native of Virginia, Mrs. Leech had been a Washington resident the last 26 years. She was the widow of Isaac S. Leech, Confederate veteran and former prominent farmer near Lexington, Va. She was a graduate of the Ann Smith Academy at Lex- ington and taught there before com- ing to Washington. Besides her daughter, she leaves four sons, Thomas L. Leech, Buena Vista, Va.; Gordon, James D. and S. W. Leech, all of this city; 10 grand- children and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the home of the daugh- ter here, with Rev. James H. Taylor of Central Presbyterian Church, of which Mrs. Leech was a member, offi- ciating. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Trivett was graduated in dentistry from the old Columbian Dental Col- lege, now a part of George Washing- ton University, and began practice here in 1906. Active in the Masonic fraternity, he was a member and past master of Joppa Lodge of Masons; was & past patron of Joppa Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and member of Bright- wood Commandery, Knights Templar. He also had been active in church work and was a member of the board of trustees of Petwort M. E. Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Carrie E. Trivett; three brothers, David M. Trivett, Beaver Dam, Va.; L. M. Tri- vett, Vilas, N. C,, and Calvin Trivett, Boone, N. C, and three sisters, Mrs. R. A.
