The North Cleveland Park Citizens’ Association voted last night to oppose any plan for increasing taxes of the District above what is necessary to meet current demands. 3 In discussion of various proposed | bills to raise additional revenue in the District, only one—the automo- bile tax—was held to be low enough to justify raising. i A committee was appointed to co- |# operate with the Friendship Citizens Association in establishing a boys’ | & club in the upper Wisconsin section. A letter from the Friendship associa. tion said that 300 boys interested in forming such a club had attended a ganization plans. The Copeland bill, designed to regulate selection of delegates and committee members from the District to national political conventions, was tabled in lieu of an opinion from the association committee handling such |? matters. | It was voted not to hold a meeting | ¢ in May unless unusual circumstances warranted it, in which case individual | notices will be sent to members. “0OLD-TIMERS” REUNION Event in May Will Mark Anni- versary of Founding of Organization.
