NEW YORK, March 29.— Cotton gray cloth sales this week were well below production, but prices remained firm, and on many constructions buy- ers were unable to find mills with quick deliveries to offer. Print cloths were offered by second hands in mod- erate quantities, at prices usually 1% cent below mill quotations. Heavy goods were strong and some new highs were established. Fine yarn gray cloths were less active, but prices firmed. The finished goods markets were fairly active and some prices were ad- vances. Printers name new prices on some percales and pillowcases made from print cloth yards were revised upward. = There was some call for brown sheetings, which were lifted to ! HIGHER GROSS IN YEAR NEW YORK, March 29 (Specia) . — Total gross operating revenues of Asso- clated Gas & Electric Co. increased $7,466,332, or 7 per cent, to $118,556,- 223 for the 12 months ended February 28, in comparison with the previous comparable period. Operating expenses and maintenance amounted to $59,865,302 for the year. Taxes, at $13,353,544, were up $1,664,- 535, a 14 per cent increase to & new high. After deducting these items, net operating revenue remained in the amount of $45,337,377. This is $2,- 010,252, or 5 per cent, above last year. Further deductions for provision for retirements of $9,453,715 left $35.- 883,662 for operating income. This is 7 per cent, or $2,266,275, above the previous year’s comparable figure, Medium grades of domestic wools were quiet, although firmly quoted at unchanged nominal prices. Fine and medium grade foreign wools had a fair call at firm to rising prices. In domestic fleeces fine Ohio De- laine was moved in small quantities at 44-46 in the grease, but other grades | were quiet and nominally unchanged at 47-48 in the grease for staple comb- ing half blood, 47-48 for combing 3 blood and 45-47 for combing quarter blood.
