LOS ANGELES, January 8—Fed- eral Judge Harry Hollzer dismissed Jack Hayes' $500,000 contract suit | against Shirley Temple, child film actress; her parents and others yes- |terday after defense lawyers argued teh court was without jurisdiction |and the complainant did not state a cause of action. | Hayes in January, 1932, executed a | four-year contract providing he would train Shirley and share in her earn- ings. He was adjudged bankrupt in October, 1933, however, and the bankruptey trustee sold the contract to Shirley’s father, for $25. Hayes recently sued in Federal Court to set aside sale of the contract and asked. besides the $500,000, an ac- counting of Shirley’s earnings. He has a similar suit pending in Superior Court, True Bills Against Lee for Treason Found in Virginia By the Associated Press. RICHMOND. January 8— Tucked away in a forgotten box crammed with old Federal Court records, W. P. A. workers found 33 indictments charging Robert E. Lee and 32 other leaders of the Confederacy with treason, offi- cials said yesterday. The indictments. brought fin the District Court of Virginia and the Fourth United States Circuit Court, had been put haphazardly into a box which was placed in the Post Office basement here elong with other court records of 1865-1868. The indictments, which also named James Longstreet of Geor- gia, Fitzhugh Lee of Virginia, Wade Hampton of South Caro- Lina and Jubal Early of Virginia, were dated from June 7, 1865, to April 3, 1868.
