DIES AT HOME TODAY Funeral Saturday for Retired As- sistant Superintendent of D. C. Playgrounds. Miss Florence L. Chambers, 63, re- tired assistant superintendent of Dis- trict playgrounds, died today at her home, 1421 Webster street. Miss Chambers had been ill since she was injured more than a year ago when she fell into a grease pit in a Chicago automobile parking station. She was in Chicago attending a play- grounds convention. She retired from her position with the District play- grounds several months ago. A lifelong resident of this city, Miss Chambers was the daughter of the late W. W. Chambers and the late Mrs. Georgiana Chambers. She was an aunt of W. W. Chambers, II, fune- ral director, and sister of E. Percy Chambers.
