NEW YORK, Se¢ptember 23.—Re- public Steel Corp., Cleveland, has liquidated in full accumulated divi- dends of 34:50 & share on its 6 per cent prior preferred “A” stock, it was disclosed today. The distribution is payable October 23 to stock of record October 5. Link Belt. Co. Link Belt Co, Chicago, manufac- turers of elevating and transmission machinery and other equipment, or- dered an extra dividend of 15 cents, together with a regular quarterly divi- dend of 30 cents, on the common stock, both payable December 1 to stock of record November 16. NEW YORK, September 23 —Dj- rectors of American Telephone & Telegraph Co. authorized today filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission of a registration covering lssuance of $175,000,000 of 3'j per cent debentures. This is the largest issue ever registered under the securi- ties act. At the same time the board ordered the call for redemptica December 1, 1936, of $64,865,200 collateral trust 5 per cent bonds due in 1946 at a price of 105. Subject to the sale of the new bonds before November 1, the board | likewise approved redemption on Jan- uary 1, 1937, of $117.984.700 of 5 per cent debentures due in 1960 at 110.
