July lo.—-semnfir, Tail bonds lent support to a quiet bond market today. Some of the utilities also .were in demand at slightly higher prices. NEW YORK, July 30.—The report of Dividend Shares, Inc., for the six months ended June 30, 1935, reveals that investments carired at eost total- ing $12,161,856 had aggregate market value, based on June 29, 1935, market quotations, of $16,861,088. After provision for Federal income tax, the net unrealized apreciation amounted to $4,051,797, a gain of $980,403 in the first six months of uu, while earned surplus was $1,341,- cuh in bank June 29 totaled $2,- 373,413 Net income after all expenses lu the six-month period amounted to $285,685. Company’s portfolio on June 30 was comprised of 45 common- atocks, all dividend payers. Net asset value per share on June 29, 1935, was $1.3260, as $1.2268 on December 31, 1934.
