Laurent had also served as rector of Epiphany College in Baltimore and directed St. Joseph's Catechetical School at Montgomery, Ala. From 1910 until his appointmert to St. Joseph's here Father St. Laurent was e in missionary work in the South. Born in Connecticut in 1866, he spent his youth in Canada. A graduate of St. Joseph’s Seminary in Baltimore, he was ordained to the priesthood November 1, 1892. He is survived by a brother and sister, David and Marie St. Laurent, of Southbridge, Mass. GEORGE J. BAUR RITES 70 BE HELD TOMORROW Former President of Kenilworth Citizens to Be Buried in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Funeral services for George J. Baur, former president of the Kenilworth Citizens' Association, and for many years an employe of the Washington Gas Light Co., will oe held at the Chambers’ southeast funeral chapel tomorrow at 10 am. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Baur died yesterday at his home, 1830 Cali- fornia street. Born here in 1866, Mr. Baur worked at the Bureau of Engraving and Print- ing before going to the gas company, where he remained for more than 40 ears. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Raymond H. YOUNG’S RITES T0 BE TOMORROW Wife of General Electric's Board Chairman Formerly Was Active in Education. By the Assoclated Press. NEW YORK, June 26.—Mrs. Owen D. Young, wife of the chairman of the board of the General Electric Co., died of & heart ailment yesterday at her home in Riverside, Conn. She had been in {II'health for four years. Mrs. Young, formerly Josephine Sheldon Edmonds of Southbridge, Mass., attended. St. Lawrence Uni- versity in Canton, N. Y., and was graduated from Radcliffe. At St. Lawrence she met Mr. Young, and married him June 30, 1898, at South- bridge. For many years she was a trustee of Radcliffe College. She was active in philanthropy and education, and she shated with her husband an inter- est in rare books and first editions. She was & member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Surviving, beside her husband, are four children, Charles Jacob-Young of Ardmore, Pa.; Mrs, Edward Case of Cambridge, Mass.; Philip Young of ‘Washington and Richard, a senior at the Choate School in Wallingford, Conn. Mrs. Young also leaves two brothers, C. H. Edmonds of Wellesley, Mass,, and Stuart Edmonds of Win- chester, Va. Goodman, 48, inven- tor of the congressional index system and a familiar figure at the Capitol, died last night in the Washington Sanitarium after a short illness. A former resident of the Roosevelt and Wardman Park Hotels, Miss Goodman had recently been in poor health and had gone to the san!- Born at Dardanelle, near Little Rock, Ark., Miss Goodman came to Washington about 20 years ago. !hex originated a postal index used by the Government and subsequently invent- ed the card index system bearing her name, which was adapted at the Cap- itol and later was tried out by the Justice Department. Miss Goodman was an intimate friend of the late Speaker and Mrs, Rainey and Speaker and Mrs, Byrnes, She also had a wide acquaintance among other members of the House and Senate. She was an active worker for the Democrats in the last presidential campaign, and was a member of the ‘Woman’s City Club. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. L. A Evans of Dardanelle, and two brothers, Joseph B. Goodman of this city, and L. J. Goodman of Dallas, Tex. The body will be entrained from Hines funeral establishment on Fri- day for Dardanelle, where burial will take place. e C. T.
