NEW YORK, June 14.—Postal Telegraph & Cable Co., harasssd by recurrent deficits, has sought the ad- vice of the flery erstwhile chief of the National City PBank Charles E. Mitchell, This represents Mitchell's first big iob since he returned to Wall Street | in January, taking a suite of offices | marked “C. E. Mitchell. Inc.” Mitchell returned to the maelstrom of finance after resigning from the Naticnal City Bank in Februacy. 1933, during the banking investigation by the Senate Banking and Currency Committee. He inen said he was re- tiring because he was “not willing that criticism which has been directed at me as a result of public misunder- standing of testimony” before the coramittee should react against the bank. The Association of American Rail- roads announced today that loadings of revenue freight for the week ended June 8 were 630,836 cars, an increase of 65494 above the preceding week, 14,068 above the corresponding week in 1934 and 61,679 above 1933. The increase was due partly to the fact that the preceding week included the Decoration day holiday. Miscellaneous freight totaled 232,- 678 cars, an increase of 18,324 above the preceding week, a decrease of 9,707 below 1934 and an increase of 12,765 | above 1933.
