Laska, the diminutive Denver at- torney, had more testimony at his command today in his court battle against the Government's charges of STAR, WASHINGTON, " conspiracy in the $200,000 kidnaping of Charles F. Urschel. Laska, accused of saccepting part of the ransom money as a fee for de- fending Albert Bates, carried his court-room tactics with him to the witness chair yesterday. With one string of emphatic nega- tives after another he answered ques- tions as to whether he knew he was receiving part of the ransom money; whether he made threats against Mrs. Clara Feldman, bates’ wife and her son, Edward Feldman. Mrs. Feliman and her son, as the Government’s chief witnosses, testi- fled that Laska had received $10,000 in “hot ransom cash” to defend Bates.
