Both charged de- sertion, Mrs, Martha W. Lambrath asked for an absolute divorce from Elmer Lamb- rath of the 800 block of Thirteenth street, Washington, and permission to resume her maiden name of Gambin. She is represented by Attorneys Robert W. McCullough and Louis Lebowitz. The other bill of complaint was filed by Laurence Parker against Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Parker of the 1600 block of Evart street, Washington, through Attorneys Lansdale G. Sasscer and James R. Murphy. Frank Murphy refused to comment when he arrived here today from the United States. 4 In an interview Murphy called the Supreme Court’s invalidation of N. R. A. “unfortunate.” He said he had noted s “miraculous improvement in business and industry” when he reached the United States last Febru- ary after an absence of nearly two years. Manuel Quezon, majority political leader of the islands, who returned from Washington with Murphy, praised the Governor lavishly, saying Murphy was largely responsible for President Roosevelt’s quick approval of the Philippine commonwealth con- stitution.
