Plans | | Christian Science | “Everlasting Punishment” is the subject of the lesson-sermon in all the Churches of Christ, tomorrow. The golden text is from Proverbs, xvi.6: “By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.” Among the citations which com- prise the lesson-sermon is the fol- lowing from the Bible: “But the Lord 1s my defense; and my God is the rock of my refugee.”—Psalms, xciv.22. The lesson-sermon also -includes the following passage from the Christian Science text book, “Sclence and Health With Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Divine sci- ence adjusts the balance as Jesus adjusted it. Science removed the penalty only by first removing the sin which incurs the penalty. This is my sense of divine pardon which I understand to mean God's method of destroying sin,” page 40.
