Mrs. Lankford Dunton was hostess 1o a company of 20 at a bridge tea Saturday, entertaining for Miss Hen- derson, whose engagement to Mr. Wyatt S. Mapp of Bell Haven, Va., was announced at the tea. Miss Henderson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Upshur Kerr Hender- son of Bridgetown, Va., and Mr. Mapp js the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mapp of Belle Haven. ‘The wedding will take place the latter part of June in the Johnson Methodist Church in Bridgetown, Miss Helen Shelton of Battery Park, Md., has as her guest Mrs. Richard Hunt of Fort Benning, Ga., formerly ‘Miss Florence Davis of Edgemoor, Md., who will be among the out-of-town guests at the wedding of Miss Har- riet Haig this evening. Women’s City Club Benefit Tomorrow Mrs. Roosevelt heads the list of members subscribing to the card par- ties at the Women's City Club for the benefit of the house betterment fund tomorrow afternoon and evening. Mrs. Laura A. Bradley is chairman for the afternoon and Miss S. Pearle Jencks and Miss Julia D. Connor hostesses for the evening party. Mrs. Gus A. Schuldt, Ways and Means Committee chairman, and members of her com- mittee are in charge of arrangements. There will be table and door prizes and refreshments will be served. The funds received from this sale will be used for relief work among the en- listed men and their families in the Washington area.
