Meaney, who, within a year of his succession to its management, brought the Senate restaurant in the Capitol out of its traditional deficit, died yesterday of bronchial pneu- monia in Garfield Hospital. George Finger, 63, former mayor of Capitol Heights, Md. organizer and first president of the Prince Georges Volunteer Firemen's Association, died yesterday of a heart attack while visiting his sister, Mrs. Arnold Fox, in Long Island City, N. Y. Born in London, Mr. Finger came to America at the age of 14. He had served as a delegate from the Painter’s Union to the Central Labor Union In Washington. Last Summer he was one of the directors of the firemen's parade in Alexandria. He is_survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Finger; a son, George jr., and a daughter, Eleanor, all of whom were with him at his death. BOURNE DIES AT HOSPITAL Noted Marine Flyer Expires After Operation—Had Colorful Career. By the Assoclated Press. Maj. Louis M. Bourne, 42, of the United States Marine Corps stationed at Quantico, Va., died today at Naval Hospital here following an operation Friday for gastric ulcer. Maj. Bourne, who was the first Marine flyer to make a non-stop flight from the United States to Nicaragua, was stricken suddenly last ‘Thursday. He had been stationed since last August at Quantico where he was transferred from San Diego, Calif. He was commander of the Marine Aviation Fofces at San Diego for two years. In 23 years of service in the Ma- rines, Maj. Bourne had a colorful career. He left Annapolis to take a com- petitive examination for Marine service and his first assignment was as lieutenant on the flagship of the Asiatic fleet. He was sent to Chine where he was promoted to captain. Maj. Bourne was brought back for the World War and served in France with the second Marine Corps. Martin, 70, retired contractor and high official of the Order of Odd Fellows, died last night at his home, 609 North Columbus street. ‘The deceased was & past grand patriarch of the Patriarchs Militant of Virginia and a past noble grand of the Potomac Lodge of Odd Fellows of this city, which he served as chair- man of the Board of Trustees 25 years and drill leader. He had been a member of the lodge 40 years. Services are to be held at Odd Fel- lows Hall at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. William Jackson Morton and Rev. E. V. Regester will officiate. Col.
